The flight training by Heli Service Belgium nv is recognised by the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority for both theoretical and practical training to become a private helicopter pilot (PPL-H). Training for a type rating is also possible within this department.
Heli Service Belgium follows the complete flight training according to European requirements (EASA Requirements for Flight Crew Licensing). The flight licence PPL(H), issued after completion of the training, therefore also allows international flights.
The helicopter used for basic instruction is the Robinson R44.
Training to become a private helicopter pilot can begin from the age of 16. Before making their first solo flight, the candidate must have a Class 2 medical certificate.
